Great run in the neighborhood before work. It felt so good to move my body and sweat and clear out my head. That was my first real workout since SUnday and I was needing it badly. Whew, all better now. :)

Halfway into my workout when the school called to tell me Sophie was on the wrong bus....yikes. Found her, she was fine. I am tatooing her bus number on her forehead tomorrow. I was gonna ride the trainer tonight, but feeling icky. Will workout on the way home from work tomorrow.

I know it looks so very slow...But it was actually my best half. I walked less than any other half or 10k. I kept my 10/1 run/walk ratio up until way after hour 2. I was only off my Winter 1/2's by less than 8 minutes, and considering the humidity, I think I did really well. Especially at the end, I was able to push and dig. It was nice to see Doug at around mile 12 with a drink and some endurolytes for me.

However, I paid a price...when I got home I was shaking and freezing and sick. I think I had a bit of heatstroke. Tough day, but BIG CONGRATS to all who did it and finished, 97% humidity is no fun for 13.1. I think I'll stick to my winter races. :)

Ugh....that was hot and humid.  Finished-didn't throw up or die, so that's good.  Some BT peep action at our house afterwards...rr later.  Hot tub and then bed...swim tomorrow. :)
