Outstanding track run tonight!  Ran at the Keller Track.  It was windy as a Mother! I had 10min warm up, 4x800 followed by 400 recovery, then 2 miles at 10k pace.  I negative split the hell out of the 800's.  5:48, 5:36, 5:32, 5:11.  ITB's were fine, the blisters were a little troublesome.  I actually made one a little bigger tonight....  Times include the recovery walks/jogs.

Just took a 30min walk with the pups.  The blisters were still barking, and the calves are still tight 

I picked up some Speedplays today.  I am purposefully not putting them on until after the weekend.  I will not ride this weekend.  Im smarter than that.  At least that is what I keep saying to myself....  At least with a little more run focus and a swim focus, maybe I can save a minute or 2 on those....Maybe.  Craig gave me the idea to raid the Dave Young LTF Master class.  Maybe i'll make the long drive 1x or 2x just to see what if anything he can help me with this close to AZ.

Spoke with the coach, and Patti says that all Bike rides are off the calendar for at least the next week, and probably 2.  I will be doing my 3 hr run over this weekend, and a long swim instead.

Im going to be smarter this week, and todays bike will probably turn into a short drills swim.  We are talking to our coach today to see how I should adjust my week.  Im bummed that im going to miss the group ride this weekend.  I'll try the trainer on Saturday morning, but I have little/no intention of trying the road.

I feel worse than I have on any given Monday during training.  My feet are killing me.  I am thinking of naming my blisters.  I know better than to walk long distances on my running shoes.  Massage today!

Walk

Walking felt fine, so I set out to get the 3 hours in walking in zone 1.  Mission accomplished with no IT pain.  Im surprised that I was able to hold just under 14min mile walking.  I ran maybe 6 times for maybe 10 minutes total.  I learned from yesterday, to not push my luck.

Ok, the IT is much better today.  Im still a world class dumbass though.

Wow, that was a long swim.  but it felt really good.  the last 500 seemed to take forever. 

Ok, so it looks like im going to be a swimming and running fool for the next week at least.  Im going to see if I can get an appt today, and get some PT, and keep icing, stretching and rollering.  Im not too worried, Who knows how long this will be.  Also may have to time a cortisone shot if needed.
