With 3 weeks to go til my first Oly, decided it'd be a good idea to try a couple of longer distance bricks. Kept the effort slightly lower on the bike that I otherwise would have done to try and save my legs for the run. The run started off ok, but my shins started to ache quite a bit about 5mins into the run! Thankfully I was only planning on about a mile run, so kept going.

Paced the first lap of the 14x100 a bit too fast (2:04) but kept most of the rest between 2:08 and 2:11 with the exception of set 11 and 12 which both slipped to 2:14 for some reason. Maybe going on 2:30 was a little too much rest, but never tried such a long set before and wasn't sure how the last few sets would go.

Had I realised how close to 8 miles I was I would have carried on for another minute :( . I always seem to be slower when I run in the mornings, but at least I managed the distance without any complaints.
