Same ride as yesterday but with no rain, yet slower average :(. I know it happens but still disappointed.
Run
Delays on the train getting home and hot humid weather did not make this look like a promising run. However, my hamstring felt fine the whole time and, apart from sweating like mad, it was pretty good.

Rain
Bike
Rain started coming down 10miles in which I wasn't expecting so wasn't dressed for it! Since my choices were to turn around or carry on and both involved a further 10miles, I figured I may as well keep going.

Was meant to be 4x400 but had difficulty getting settled to begin with and had to stop after the first 200m. After that it all seemed to get back to normal.

Run
Had to wait until 9pm before the temperature dropped to a reasonable heat! Hamstring still feeling a little tight for the first 1.5-2 miles, but seems to loosen up after that. Not sure if I need to ease off and let it rest or not.

Decided to try the 10x100m off 2:20 as doing off 2:25 last week didn't see any slow down in times so I figured I was getting too much rest. Guessing might need to bring it down a touch further next time!

Thought I was taking it a bit easier as missing Wednesday's run meant I haven't run since Monday and my hamstring was still feeling a little tight. Guess I was wrong.

Woke up to what sounded like a torrential downpour! Yup, British summer time is truely here :(. The unfortunate side effect of all the rain was the intense humdity it brought which meant I couldn't use my rollers either as my little fan (which isn't really sufficiant for normal use) had no chance of cooling me down. Shame as that was going to be my last long ride before next week's tapering.

Odd swim. At the beginning it was a bit on the busy side and I was pretty much able to practice the chaos at the start of an OWS so much so that I was kicked twice (by 2 different people doing breaststroke, once in the shoulder, once in the ribs!) and smacked in the head by an on coming backstroker who had drifted off course. By the end of the second 800m it was almost empty and whilst resting a guy asked if I was about to go. After telling him I was not going anywhere for a bit he commented that I was so fast ("like a torpedo!") that I'd catch up to him. Looking at my times, I was left wondering what he'd make of actual fast swimmers!
Still, it was nice to be thought of as fast for once even if I don't agree :)
