I don't know if I should have done this run or not, but i am tired of waiting for my hamstring to stop hurting, so I did it. The hamstring was sore, but it didn't really hurt like it had in the past. I definitely knew it was there and was not happy, but it didn't seem to impede my stride. What did affect my stride was my complete lack of run fitness and my cold. I don't know which caused me to struggle the most, but i'm hoping it was the cold as that will be gone before my fitness comes back completely.
As soon as I got home, i iced the hamstring, so hopefully I can keep running and this 3 miles didn't set me back.

still feeling like crap, so no swim this morning.

my cold is worse today then earlier in the week, so i skipped the test run planned for this morning and the swim planned for after work.  now i will have to see if i feel up to swimming tomorrow morning; i'm thinking no right now, but there are still a few hours before i have to make that decision.

l worse today then yesterday.  I'm going to stay home one more day, but have to go to work tomorrow because I have court.  I also need to get in one more session of core/push ups to finish out the May Challenge - maybe this afternoon and probably way less volume.

kept waking up during the night with a really dry throat; couldn't figure out why until it turned from really dry to really sore with 1 swollen tonsil.  By the morning I was fighting off a full blown cold, so decided to stay home to try to knock it out.  My vacation is just over a week away, so I want to keep this from getting too bad as I have a lot to do before I leave and don't want to have any level of sickness for the trip.  I guess its better to have a cold this week then next, so that's one positive thing about a cold !
