Running the race with perseverance!
June 6
Travelling back from Georgia - a long drive with a three-year-old! Seems like we stopped at every rest stop!

I was pretty pleased with this time since I was riding a mtb and it was soooo hilly!
Sucky time BUT it was so hilly and I have no hills to practice on here in Orlando, so overall I was pretty happy with the time.
I actually got out of the water at 8:59 but the long run back to transition was included in the swim time. It must have been at least 1/3 of a mile. I think only 1 or 2 people in my start wave got out before me. So I was pretty happy overall.

It's 5:45 a.m. I'm drinking my coffee to wake up and then I'll get the family up to get going to Atlanta. It was a 7-1/2 hour drive the last time we went, BUT this time we're bringing my son and granddaughter (3) so it'll take longer. But that's okay cuz I probably should stop occasionally and move around so as not to get stiff before the race. It should be a nice weekend. My other son lives in Atl with wife and two boys so all the grandchildren will enjoy each other's company (yikes.... chaos!) and it's my granddaughter's birthday so we'll have a little party after the tri. My daughter is doing the tri with me (and her husband is coming too) so my WHOLE family will be there! Even the kids are coming to watch mamaw race.
