My last really long run before the NYC marathon in two weeks. The run actually went really well. It was pretty cold and windy for most of the run, but I kind of liked the challenge of heading into the wind as well as the hills I threw into the course.
I ran the first 10 miles alone and then my friend, Austen from work who is a 60 yr old life long marathoner ran the last ten with me. It was great having him there and the last ten seemed to go faster than the first ten because I had someone to talk to. He gave me a lot of pointers about NYC... I think he knows the mile markers by heart.
