Brutal... Humid... I can't wait for October running.

I think I need to rethink some of my training strategy going forward. I am 4 weeks out from a HIM and 2 months from the NYC Marathon.

My legs have no spring or jump in them at all... totally dead. Truth is, I have averaged over 11 hours/week for 8 of the last 9 weeks. I think that kind of volume, run heavy, in this humidity is just too hard to maintain. If it were bike heavy, like IM training for example where I was biking 5-7 hours a week, then it'd be not too much of a problem.

I need to take my rest days more seriously. For instance, yesterday was supposed to be a day of, total rest, what did I do? I swam 2600 yards. Probably not the best idea. On monday I ran 9 miles with strides, a hard effort. The plan called for an easy one hour bike ride the next day. What did I do instead? I rode 1.5 hours of intervals.
