Semi 1.5 mile loop with a trip to LA Fitness and back.

7.58 miles today and 14.15 miles for the week (training goal for the week was 14 miles).
I need to get 7.1 miles of running in to make my week. I should have run on Saturday and didn't so now I'm in a big volume day to make my week. I need to make sure that I don't make a regular thing of doing this. I still have about 4.2 miles to do tonight and if I have to walk a little more I'm fine with that. I can tell that my legs are getting stronger even after only 2 weeks.
Great run tonight. My legs felt good and I had proper nutrition and hydration. Drank very little on the run and the weather was awesome. I could have run 2 more miles easily. Legs are getting stronger.

Got up at 3:50 and volunteered at Prospector Tri at Lake Pleasant. It was fun but early. Michelle and I went and saw "The Social Network" tonight and it was a pretty interesting movie. A movie about something that I knew very little about but it was well done. I had great intentions of running today but they fell apart. I can't seem to string a couple of good weeks together. I'll have to be a lot more committed after the beginning of the year.

Went out for Happy Hour with Michelle and others and had to get to sleep to get up at 3:50 to volunteer at Prospector on Saturday.

I really thought I would take it easy tonight but my legs felt really good at the beginning of my run so I thought I would push it and do some interval work tonight. My HR and breathing was more labored than I have been in a long time but I was fine with it. i knew that it was only going to be for a short bit so I was fine with it. When i hit Bellair Golf Club corner I knew I was running fast for me so I walked a few times but ran almost all of the rest of the way and finished under 11 min/miles. I was extremely happy with the run tonight and I'm almost 1/2 way done with my run miles for the week.

To LA Fitness and back
Run was good up to about mile 2 and then I started getting light headed and my legs got really heavy. Don't know what that was but I just walked it a bit and got back at it. I did walk a lot more the 2nd half but I just wanted to get the miles in tonight. The 2nd half of the run felt better but my knees were feeling a bit sore on the last 1/4 or so. My week is off to a good start with 4.4 miles.
