I was going to run but then it got a little late and I planned to get up and do Dan's 5:30am spin class. Then I couldn't get to sleep so I didn't run or spin. Oh well, I'll still get my miles in for the week.
October 18
Arrowhead 3.3 mile loop
578 cal run.....
Ran the whole thing tonight except for a very small section a little over 1/2 way done. Legs felt bad at first but then felt pretty good. I didn't run super fast tonight but kept a nice easy pace that I could sustain for the whole run. Good start to the week and First Wave Tri meeting was very gpod tonight. I ordered a full tri kit and a bike jersey. Saw Chad and he looked in great shape and in good spirits. 17 miles this week.

To LA Fitness and back w/ Miki
591 cal run #1.....701 cal run #2.......1292 cal total.
First run of the day was tough again. It seemed a little warm and my energy level was low. My legs seemed tired and didn't have much in them. I know that my 2nd run will be better.
Second run with Miki tonight was good. We kept a good steady pace and kept to only walking a few times for under 30 seconds. Since it was cooler tonight I felt really good and had strong legs. Hydration and nutrition was good also.
Training goal for the week was 15 miles and I finished with 15.04 miles.

Rest day. Watched Husker game, got my skylite fixed and made dinner for our party guests. It was nice sleeping in today.

I wanted to set another PR for this tonight but I just didn't have it on mile 3. I have been running more in the last 2 weeks thn I have since starting to train in January. I just need to keep at it but be smart and don't push too hard too fast. I just need to keep myself healthy so I can continue to train. The running outside is kind of messing with my swim and bike right now but I hope to get in about 40 or so this weekend on the bike. Even if I could swim one day a week, that would at least be something.
