Legs are still somewhat sore in the quads region but I wanted to get something in today so I just did the 3.3 mile loop. I think the pace the first mile was better than I expected but my legs got tired quickly after that. My pace slowed down a lot and I just held on to finish in under 40 min.

Legs still felt really sore so I'm going to rest them again and get back at it on Saturday.

Ok...so my legs hurt so bad that I can barely walk. Spin class was bad, bad, bad for me but I'm going to keep going. Eventually my legs won't hurt anymore. This is impacting my running though and I'll have to run a ton this weekend to make my miles. Oh well, live and learn.

First spin class at LA Fitness and I survived. I thought my bike shoes would work on the clips but they didn't. I guess there are different types of SPD clips. I have never been out of the saddle that much in a long...long time. My legs took a bit of a time to get up to speed and they weren't use to a lot of climbing. I think I could do this class every week if Dan does it but I just couldn't understand the lady that did the class today.

Legs were tired on the run again tonight. Actually my feet and calves were fine but my quads near my knee were sore and felt sluggish. Had the wind in my face the whole way back which kind of sucked but I made due. The bottom line is that I'm getting the miles in and I'm not doing crap miles so I think I'll be fine come PF Changs. I can tell that my fitness is increasing faster than my muscles and joints can keep up so I think in November I should be running a bit faster and longer. I was happy with my workout today. I'm still dropping off more than I want from mile 1 to mile 3.

Went for my first OWS since May and it went pretty well considering that I haven't done one in 5+ months and my swim volume has been non-existent since August. My shoulders did get a bit tired about 1/2 way through but I was fine with the effort. Good group of people to swim with (First Wave).

Went running right away when I got home and my legs were tired. I kept a pretty good pace through the run. Nutrition and hydration was fine.

Legs were tired for most of the first run. Had some ups and downs but ran about 98% of the distance.

Wanted to go out on my 2nd run and really push the pace on the first mile and I really wanted to get under 10 min/mile. I ended up at 9:38 and I was really happy with that. The last 1/2 mile was tough but I ran the whole thing and finished my 17 miles for the week.
