2014 cal bike.....
My longest ride so far. Felt pretty good until about the last 5 miles. Wind picked up and I had to slam a GU cause I was out of energy. Feet started to fall asleep on the last 2-3 miles. Hands are a bit raw. Hills are getting easier. Still need to work on more time in aero but I think I either need to lose more weight or get a better seat post and stem. Exceeded my time for the week. 2 more weeks til Rocky Point Oly.

The weight is going in the wrong direction. I guess I'll have to eat better this weekend.
Did a quick run around the neighborhood with Miki. All of the running this week has started to affect my shins again. Hope they calm down before RP.

Weighed in below 200 lbs for the first time in about 11 years. I was so happy to see that 198 this morning. Just have to keep plugging away at the weight loss.
Legs were sore tonight after ARR last night. Wasn't happy with my effort but I got out there.

Butcher Jones
Hiked H1 at T-bird Park
Was suppose to hook up w/ some people to do an OWS out at Butcher Jones Cove. Drove all the way out there, bought my Tonto Pass and no one showed up. Oh well. I decided I was at least going to get in the water. The water was a little cold wen I got in. Tried to get acclimated and it made me hyperventilate a little until I got use to the water temp. I started swimming and the green water freaked me out a little. I was moving good in the water but I wasn't concentrating on my stroke. I was thinking about the green water, the boats that were in the cove, that I was alone, that I had never done this before, again that I was alone and no one would be able to save me. Freaked out and headed back in to the beach. Didn't go back out. Just not a good experience. I need to get this figured out this week because Las Palomas is in less than 2 weeks. Don't know how far out into the ocean the swim is but I need to get comfortable in open water. I have 2 weeks to make that happen. My Aquasphere goggles worked great though.
Did about 1 1/2 hrs of yard work this afternoon
