This is the lowest my weight has been in YEARS.

Okay, This week, I've had serious training issues. Haven't run. Just haven't done it. I start running and just can't (won't) do it. Mentally my brain says no. I was supposed to run 10 miles last night. I had to run 10 miles last night. But while I was doing it, my brain said no. Just no. So I get home, completely down and disappointed in myself, so I decided that I need to figure out where I was going wrong. I realized a few things. - I have had more alcohol this week than I should have. - Of the last 4 nights, I've gone to sleep at 1am for 3 of them. - I also have not been hydrating the way I should have, I've gone from two or three bottles of water at work to less than one. Not to make excuses, I'm just trying to figure out where I'm going wrong so that I can correct it before it's too late, and I totally screw up for my 1/2 marathon.

3.42pm Okay - With the help of a very nice man, I've (and by I've I mean He has) come up with a new game plan

1/15 - 5.5 miles          1/17 - 3 miles         1/19 - 7 miles        1/21 - 3 miles        1/23 - 10 miles        1/25 - 3 miles        1/27 - 5 miles     1/28 - ride my bike!         1/30 - 6-7 miles      2/1 - 3 miles     2/3 - 2 miles       2/5 - race day 13.1!

brandy story of the day- Yesterday when I finished my swim, I got into the hot tub with this guy, and as I get in :

him "good swim?"

me "yes, much better than my run"

him "wow, you ran today too, how far did you swim"

me - "yes I ran but not as far as I wanted to so I decided to swim. I did 1050 meters"

him "wow, that impressive - you swim and run"

me "yeah, i'm training for a triathlon"

him "oh wow that's really impressive" then he had that look on his face - that - 'you're so cool' look

HA! made my day!

(note to self - no one likes a bragger)

KCal - 397 - HR was way up for such a slow short run. The sickness was certainly still there, but I had to get out there and run. and like Ken said - even if it is a shorter run you have to get out there. I just kept hearing him in my head - "you're not going to miss anymore runs". Great motivation I must say! I tried.

+/- 50 meters. I try to keep track, but sometimes it just doesn't work. Did this after that run. Felt bad I ran such a short distance, but I started to feel sick when I was running.

Okay, left work at 9.30 yesterday morning, sick again. Curled on the couch and slept all day. Feeling better today, but coming back from lunch I decided to enjoy the quiet of my car for a minute and I fell asleep for 30 minutes. Not feeling 100% yet, but I am going to go to the gym tonight. Stupid sickness.

January 9

This weekend was NOT conducive to training. I think I caught that stupid bug that everyone around here had.
