Am taking my floating rest day today.

Still very tired. Fell asleep last night face down on the couch watching the Tour. And I'm still pretty uncertain as to who won, what happened and who's in yellow. (?)


400 flyers and 70 million passes through Lippold Park and still no sign of Marco-the-dog. :(

Allow me to explain. Today was supposed to be a 35 mile bike ride and a 5 mile T-run. Instead, we spent the entire day... (probably longer than 6 hours...) on our mountain bikes, searching for Pete's lost dog.

We rode the majority of today's 34 miles in consecutive loops around the local park... the rest of it was hopping light pole to light pole hanging up "LOST DOG" signs.

Tired, hot, sunburned, thirsty, dizzy and exhausted.

Still, no dog :(

Knee was feeling a bit weird after the weekend's activity. Decided to play it safe... instead of running 3, I "ellipticized" them.

I don't remember the sets, but they were mostly 100's with no more than :20 RI. We didn't have kickboards at the outdoor pool, so kicking was streamlined kick with fins.

At least no one stopped to offer assistance today while I was running. That's progress!

Came home, slept for 4 hours. In my pajamas. That's not just a nap, that's actual sleep. Had dreams and everything, but I feel much better now!

    Misery. I was running quite questionably along the side of the road when a passerby in a car stopped to see if I needed help. Now talk about a blow to the ego... I was like "No, this is my workout"... Ugh.

    I was wearing a bike jersey and bike shorts so maybe she thought I had a crash and was slowly trying to flee the scene. I don't know. It's hot and by this time I was pretty delerious.

    BLAH!


     

    Spent the entire rest of the day riding around in my new car.... showing my friend Rachael around the town... took her up and down the back roads we ride on, and took her to meet K & P and we just had a generally fun time. I was outside 95% of my waking day today.

    Love the new car. Just love it. I highly recommend a convertible. There's nothing like it! :)
