Worst Pickup Line Ever:
Me: "So what do you do for a living?"
Him: "I'm a diplomat. That means I could rape you, and the police wouldn't be able to do a thing about it."
Me: ::blink:: ::blink:: "... If you were to rape me, the american legal system would not be your biggest concern. But that's besides the point. Check please!"
Seriously? Men are dumb.

Trainer.
A good friend sent me this email yesterday:
I was at the gym today and I saw this woman that I always see around noonish there. You just know that she's some kind of high powered exec on her lunch break. And she's built thin and long legged. And she reads gossip rags. And she really commits to her cardio. And I kind of irrationally hate her. And then I realized that I was looking at you at age 40 and giggled.
BWAHHAHAHAHA.
That made me laugh.

15 min on the stairmaster to warm up and get all sweaty, and then through some full body lifty lifty.
Legs (Calves particularly) pretty tight from yesterday. Did a good lil stretch out at the end
Weighed myself today. I rarely do this, but I wanted to baseline where I am, and right after Thanksgiving seemed to be a good time to start :) 134 isn't bad. I seem to have a range between 130-136 where I don't need to buy new clothes. Anything outside of that range (in either direction): I'm buying new clothes. And I'm both vain and cheap, so that's just not gonna work.
I'd like to get down to 130 (a consistent 130, not a fake 130 that really just means I'm dehydrated or something), but I won't stress it too much. I'll worry more about actually eating good-for-me things instead of bad-for-me-but-oh-so-good things. I'm pretty sure my immune system will appreciate that, and if I'm really going to do this IM thing (ohgodohgod), then being healthy enough to train is WAY more important than 4 measly pounds. (but luckily, I think the banishment of the 4 pounds and the eating for healthy immune system prob go hand in hand :) )

Nothing like a little half mary to start your day off right.
Was only suppose to do like an hour today, but I woke up at 4am, and it was 60 degrees. What's a girl to do? Some times, you just gotta get moving. A perfect run. All zone 1/2
Oh yeah. I registered for an ironman yesterday. So uhh... yeah. That should be interesting...
My morning "getting ready" random playlist is really rocking this morning. A snippet of the first three songs:
'You Had Time', Ani DiFranco (could there be a more lovely song about falling OUT of love? Nope)
'Just a Friend,' Biz Markie (heh)
'Easy Like Sunday Morning', Faith No More (I saw the most AWESOME Faith No More cover band when I was living in Prague, and while I technically prefer the Czech cover band [in a pretentious hipster/psuedo cool kind of way], I can still rock the FNM. And I heart the Richie. So basically, this cover makes me happy :) )
'99 Luft Problems', Nina and Jay-Z. (How can you NOT like a mash-up of 80's pop and Jay-Z? It is not possible, I tell you)

Beach drive, rock creek park in the late afternoon. The ride from our houses (my brother and I) to RCP/Beach goes right past my aunt's place, and as we were going through, she was out on the porch, and invited us back through to eat with them when we were done. YUMMM warm (free) food after a brisk ride! (with the bonus of watching the Redskins blow it in the last 15 seconds. GRRRRR)
We did a few repeats up the hill by the Mormon temple -- which sucked, a lot. Also sucks cause you can't bomb back down the hill because it is covered in speed bumps. Booo.
I flatted about a mile from my aunt's place -- just at the end of the no car zone of beach drive, so my brother got to change his first flat tire. Wasn't that nice of me?

Ride with the Reston Crew. Good times :) Forgot my booties, which was a noticable oversight. Ouch!
(and, heee: booties)
