Fever broke last night. Thank god. That was a miserable 48 hours. Starting to feel better and contemplating eating something; I think thats a good sign.

I HATE having a fever. I really think I could survive any illness as long as there was no fever associated with it. Hate Hate Hate.

Nothing to brag about, just trying to get back in a routine.

It was a nice brisk rainy day (not too rainy -- just drizzling). Felt really good to be out and running. Winter seems more managable the more I am outside.

Let's see, what have I been doing instead of training...

  • Christmas Shopping
  • Sleeping in
  • Perfecting a Wild Rice Soup receipe (bringing a little Minnesota to the mid atlantic!)
  • Catching up on DC Tri Club board member duties
  • Finally finally finally helping Stake to organize and unpack around the house (From the move that happened in October!)
  • Enjoying the Christmas season with the minimum of rush and fuss.

It's been nice! Of course, I'm feeling a little lethargic and my boobs are filling out my bra a little more (if you know what I mean and I think you do), but it was a good break to just settle for a bit. Now I'm hoping to getting into a winter maintenance mode where there's a little something done everyday, but only to compliment my life - not consume. I'll start looking to a formal training schedule this March-ish.

I almost forgot! Today is the three year anniversary of my NEW and IMPROVED chipmunk heart! Good times, indeed. Happy birthday, heart! I'm glad I took you on a run today.
