Rode Dills' MTN Bike at Highline Canal. I was intending to ride with him as he ran his 20 miler the whole way but he started without me... I rode hard for the first 7 miles then caught mark... rode along with him as he ran for 5 miles. I was freezing since I was wearing running shorts, so at mile 12 I left him and rode back hard.
It was rough

I LOVE WIND. I hope it stays windy forever... Please wind... blow harder...

Weighed in this morning... not something I do very often... I am a little heavy, but my body fat is pretty good. I have been eating poorly lately... lots of junk. I need to check myself for the next 9 days and hopefully drop a couple of pounds... YIKES

Ran the 1st half of the Colorado Marathon course for the second time! Head winds again, but hopefully this will help me with a psychological advantage on race day if there are no winds at 6 AM.

I ran pretty well but I am pretty fatigued overall.

Splits:
1. 6:26
2. 6:32
3. 6:44
4. 6:35
5. 6:39
6. 6:38
7. 6:37
8. 6:36
9. 6:36
10. 6:35
11. 6:42
12. 6:40
13. 6:41

My split for 13.1 miles was 1:26:43 which is a bit slower than my projected race pace, but there was a lot of wind, it was warm (2pm run), and I am not recovered from my training yet. Overall a good effort

Brutal, gruesome, torturous!
The wind has been relentless for weeks and especially the past 4 or 5 days. Today was not fun. This better make me tougher cuz I really wanted to bag this one!

Earth Day 5K up in Boulder...
the course was ..05 mile long.

Last minute decision to race today. A tune up for the Colorado Marathon

Extremely windy... 25-30mph gusts - 15 plus mph sustained. Headwinds... UGH!

Time: 18:18 (5:49 pace)
8th Place overall - out of 698 finishers
3rd Place in age group :( - out of 72 in my age group
No PR in those winds, but I know I ran well... I beat a great duathlete - Dean Maruna - by about 30 seconds - so I know it was a tough day out there...

Lots of fast runners and a large field. why are there so many fast old guys? 5 of the top 10 over 40. Man, only in Boulder
