Sluggish run. My feet hurt. I re-did the lacing system on my flats, but it is not comfy. I found some Yankz, I'll try those for my race tomorrow.

Sitting... need to train... sitting... thinking... need to train... here I go!

Decent swim.
50s between 45" and 47"
100s between 1:45 and 1:49
200s 3:43 and 3:40

I was sooo tired this morning. I wanted to do stuff, train, but I just couldn't. Managed a swim. I did take my Cervelo to the shop, the bottom bracket was squeaky do to the dirty and wet roads this year. I found my first chip in the down tube... I guess she's all broken in now.

Part of my mini workout before work.

My legs feel great. My feet are sore from the blisters especially on top where the elastic speed laces tore off skin.

Race Report is up! Oh, and I did earn a Foster Grant Ironman World Championship 70.3. Clearwater spot and so did Kilo Dave! Looks like I need to plan this out. I'm very happy about this development as going to Clearwater has given my season a sense of meaning. Without an Ironman scheduled in 09, I wasn't really training with any real purpose. Now it is on!

Looong day of driving. Decided to swim.

Interesting fact from Ironman Kansas 70.3 Run Split Tim Deboom: 1:25:38 Richard Paradis (aka Dick Dime): 1:25:40 I'm sure he had a less than stellar day by his standards, but still... Also, The first place age grouper was 40 years old and ran a 4:04 and actually beat Tim! When You think about it like that, the guy who won my age group should have raced pro which moves me into 3rd place, theoretically. Additionally, I was only 15 seconds behind the guy who beat me and exactly 2 minutes behind the 2nd place finisher! UGH! If only I could swim!!

I burned the skin off my feet... literally! In spite of blisters on all sides of my feet, I rocked this run. I have finally run off the bike like I am capable of doing.

I know, it's pathetic... but about 3 minutes faster than at the 5430 HIM!

Very happy with this race! 4:32:35 - an 8 minute PR in the half ironman distance!
