After a longer than expected day with a new finding falling in my lap, I came home made dinner (chicken Alfredo) and had a frustrating game of poker so I decide to do my ride a bit early (thanks to the drill Tuesday I had to work out tonight). Started relatively easy so smoothly fast in 15th gear and level 3 and watched some videos and picked up the pace slowly and worked hard to amintain and increase the pace. Hit the 9:00pm poker game for the last 45 min and again very frustrating but since nearly cashed with some good play almost overcoming rotten luck. Finished hard up to 25.6 mph at the end. Good ride.
Both the boys didn't want to go to karate but I still got to go to my class. No yoga class so I got in and warmed up early. The room ended up 100% full. That never happens. Leanne did her thing. Warm up, then rolling hills (seated and standing), then 30/30's, then a 5 min progressive hill seated, then 30/30/30s, then sprints, then jumps, then longer sprints, tempo ride (done standing), and the obligatory progrssive hill standing to the end. Good ride.
Yesterday we had the EP drill which made for one extremly long day and I have found the locker room at this plant so 7am-10:30 pm with no exercise. So today I did do a long tour of the plant climbing a ton of stairs, then i got home and worked on my report for a while then hit the trainer. Started off very slow playing some poker and keeping my pulse in the low 120's (except when I was in a hand it jumped to 140) but I got knocked out and was a bit annoeyed and found my pace had picked up and from there I kept building to the end. Listened to Duran Duran on my IPOD, been a while since I listened to them, good stuff. I really hammered the last 20 min. I hit 60 min and 21.74 miles, then did the last 5k in 7:25 which is 25 mph range. Good ride and a strong finish.
Got home early and they wanted Chinese so after getting changed out I went then off to the YMCA with Adrian for karate. I went to the locker room and got changed and visited to the bathroom then found my bike and went to town. Started fairly easy then ramped it up and hammered some long surges as I listened to Foo Fighters. Was over 14 at 40 min and held on for 21.36 in an hour. Good ride.
Got my normal Sunday routine going but then found they decided to show the Vikes-Lions (Eagles were the 4pm game) and the Nascar race didn't start till 3:15pm, and it was a beautiful day so as Tammy made a shopping list for me,I went for a Benner-Trinley Figure 8. Went down Lewis so up the Benner hill at the end as well as the Major hill. Good consistant run. Glad I got out.
