Ooh, found something better - 5K on 12/10 - a slight bit more time to get ready for it, but still something to keep my butt motivated on the running. ~~~~~~~~~~ Was perusing the list of T-day 5Ks, thinking it would be good to have something intermediate to work towards - saw Quantico was having one...mmm...Marines, but it's a 5 miler, and I don't think I can quite be ready for that - but there is next year. :) However, there is a 5K almost right in my backyard and I think I may give that a whirl. ~~~~~~~~~~~~ Good run. Not the best pace, but it does keep getting better. Have gone from 5/5 splits to 6/3 splits, and trying to concentrate on not just strolling on the walk split. Gorgeous day for a run, though it did take me a while to get over the "OMG it's cold!" and get my butt out the door. (I'm really going to have to get over that treadmill fear this winter.) Despite the good run, I still prefer sex for cardio...

Seeing as how I am still loopy from the dentist and easily distracted by shiny things, an afternoon run is rather questionable at this point. (I'm losing track of how many times I've walked into another room and can't remember why I needed to be there...) But in an attempt to feel a bit less like a slacker, I decided to take stock of this month vs last. (I can't help it, I'm a recovering accountant.) Aug Total Distance: 25.3 miles Sep Total Distance: 31.3 miles Swimming, biking, running & rowing. Only a marginal increase in actual time spent, but an increase nonetheless! So, I've not slacked off as much as I thought. Oh, and THANK YOU Abs Challenge! 582 crunches in August, 1223 in September. Fear me!! I need to find something slinky for that damn wedding next weekend. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Oops. I am living proof that the road to hell is paved with good intentions, LOL. So, after realizing last night that the gym just was NOT gonna happen, I consoled myself by mapping out what I'd do for the next couple days - today would be sleeping in and a run at lunch. Except I forgot about the fact that I am leaving work at noon for round 2 at the dentist... *headdesk* BUT I DID MY ABS!

It's official. I suck. I was gonna go get revenge on the water tonight, but seeing as how I am sitting here struggling to keep my eyes open, trying to drive to the gym is probably not a great idea. I think I am just going to have to chalk this up to a crap training week. By the by, anyone want to go to a wedding for me next weekend? The bride has seated me at the same table as my ex-boyfriend.

Full weight circuit

Did weight circuit followed by a swim I am absolutely embarassed to post the stats for. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ The nutrition thing is really neat - except for the fact that my nutrition SUCKS. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Out and about last night doing the "eat, drink & be merry" thing with coworkers. Had a blast, but feeling like a complete lardass today. Really looking forward to the gym tonight, way overdue for a weight circuit along with a swim. ~~~~ Back on the wagon today, looks like swimming tonight after work. It's a gorgeous morning out there, but FREAKING COLD! I am not ready for this. I want August back, dammit.

Have changed the routine a bit, had been doing straight crunches, have switched over to 5 left/5 center/5 right, can really feel it more.

Had toyed with the idea of doing a LC/swim brick, but my legs were yelling at me quite a bit and I felt like drowning was too likely an option this evening, so I just hit the jacuzzi for a while afterwards. My legs are much happier now, but I am definitely going to have to work on getting my legs to transition from biking to the run. Have also decided that the LC's at the gym MUST be displaying the distances in KM's, so I've gone back and fixed that in the prior days I LC'd. ~~~~~~~~~~ Yay for dancing as a sport! But jeez, I feel that more the next day than anything else I do, find muscles I forgot I had.
