Oh. My. God. How is it I've managed 33 years on this planet and only now trying DayQuil? 2 of those and 20 minutes later I'm on top of the world. Had fun at the mall as we always do on Black Friday, mainly because we don't really try and actually shop, just more puttering about for ideas. Weight training accomplished in the form of moving my brothers dead car out of my parking space at the TH for the trucks and such that will need it over the next couple weeks... Watch Cindy leg press half a car!
Happy Black Friday all! Feeling a bit like death this morning, gonna pound the cough syrup and head out with little bro for our traditional annual assault on the mall. Shamrock base training is uploaded, just a matter of tweaking the cross training as I go along for Virginia Run & Columbia. :-D From the "I've lost my mind" files, I found myself perusing marathon training plans last night, and then I had dreams that I got aerobars for my bike.

Happy Thanksgiving to all, from the girl at the end of the Group W bench.
The beauty of being me: I think I'm supposed to be downstairs panicking over the food, but instead I'm spending my afternoon putting together my training plan for the half-mary. :) I'm taking the USMC plan and using that, it's the most straightforward no-fluff one out there that I've seen.
God bless my little brother for having enough faith in my cooking skills to trust me with the turkey... Though I'm not sure he realized the approach would be in my typical fly by the seat of my pants style. Recipes? We don't need no stinkin' recipes...
My upcoming 5K was cancelled. :( No reason given, but they assure me "the race is definitely on for next year and will be a huge event!" Now I am VERY glad I did the 5 mile run at Quantico.

OK, let's change yesterday's statement to "Must get some bike time in - this week". I fell asleep on the couch trying to read about 10 minutes after dinner and realized my body needed sleep more than a workout, and I'd best listen to it. Feeling kinda cruddy this morning, gonna just play it by ear this week, no sense in making myself sick.

Ecch. Considering it's 8:45 and I just finished dinner, it's going to be a somewhat late session at the gym...Think I'll go more with a spinning type thing than resistance tonight. I will be so happy when little bro's stationary bike is delivered to the house. (He was actually apologizing for the fact that it's a recumbent.)

Short week, thank god. Much to cram in today, work, pickup contacts at lunch, more work, last bit of T-day shopping (missing slightly critical component of turkey), pick out & order new carpet for TH, possibly some more packing at the old homestead, then the gym. MUST get some bike time in.

Still grinning ear to ear over yesterday. My Coastie made me promise that I'd do some light recovery today so that I'd be able to actually move tomorrow, so I cranked up the tunes and boogied around the house for 20 minutes. (Funny, I didn't feel like a run...)
