I've got a place to swim over the winter, WOOT! Yep, joined the gym today, lap pool open 5 AM to Midnight - if I can't find some time to swim with those hours, then I'm not trying hard enough.
Also snagged some new running shoes - they put you on a treadmill and watch you run to see what you're feet do so they can fit you to the right shoes. Guess who has never been on a treadmill faster than walking speed before? I damn near killed myself, and ended up just jogging about the store so they could watch.
Got the bike dropped off at the shop, too - hopefully they can get her in shape quick - also need to get a rack the next time in for the Jeep... They're gonna love me when I go to checkout!

I RAN TODAY!! OK, more of a trot, but it was NOT walking! Did 5 mins brisk walking, 5 minutes running, and more walking back to the house (just went around the block once.) My pace doesn't reflect it terribly well, cause I went with the hound, so there was a lot of running in place while he investigated things. BUT I RAN!
I also did a mini-mini-brick - right after our walk/run/walk, I jumped right on the rowing machine - just for 5 minutes, but it's the first brick-type thing I've EVER done. And I didn't die or puke!
I've also got an appointment at 2 tomorrow at the gym to check out the facilities - I need a pool, and the pool at my rec center is closed for renovation... Gym is actually cheaper anyway, and open 24/7.

Rowing today since I *still* haven't been able to get my bike to the shop for a tuneup - damn work getting in the way of real life. :)
Granted, it's not the same as biking for 10 minutes, but I think I'll be able to pick up the bike training w/no problem when I do get it back as long as I keep this up.
