I won the tourney last year so I pick the lure.  It's top water Zook.  Yep they have to learn to walk the dog.  Which they do reluctantly.  Eris pops a pike off soon and we get lots of hit that don't get hooked.  No quick winner like last year.  The shining that went on was horrific.  Beside the case of beer we polish off a bottle JD last night.  This morning headaches a pretty heavy.  We hit the water at 7:00am.  Eric is feverishly walking the dog.  We argue about whether we are in Canadian water or not.  He pops a couple undersize pike but is learning to walk the dog well.  As he is adjusting the drift I hit and land a nice 4# bass.  HAHA I secure the prize for another year.  Hmmm what lure and prey do we go after next year.  The fishing is fair hit a pike here and there.  Nothing serious all weekend but not skunked.  Weather is off and on light rain and cloudy.  River is low. 

We put in 6-7 hours of fishing in.  Take GIANT U-haul back.  Inspector shows at 10:00am at dealer.  at 1:00 we call to see.  The inspector has to make a decision to cover or not.  About 4:00 we get a good call its covered but have to wait for new tranny to be sent in.  Not gonna be done for the weekend.  The owner who live close get in late.  We take them some pulled pork and salad for dinner.  He just had a cervical fusion.  So it is welcomed.  Need to suck up as we may need a ride Sunday.  No we did whether or not.  Another night of Euchre and JD. 

Hmmmm I aged 13 years overnight.  I'm 37. Finishing up the packing this morning.  We head out for the islands around 9:00.   Look like the weather will be good and I'm ready to sit and do nothing.   You guys have a great weekend.  Mine started yesterday.  Hehehe.  I'm taking the running stuff but we'll see.

So Thursday morning all is well.  Get off about 10-15 minutes late.  No sweat, much earlier in years past.  Boat is trailing well.   Almost like it wasn't there.  All set got two spares and spare bearing in case.  Lights worked right off the bat it's going to be a piece of cake.   Rt 90 to Syracuse up 81 pass Pulaski.  Moving well not pushing it.  Going up a little grade outside of Adams.  All of a sudden the truck drops into first and slows down.  Figure got an sir bubble or something is the tranny.  Stop let is reat for a minute.  Start up won't come out of first.  Top speed 35-40 mph.  Get to right side check the tranny fluid.  Good. Kevin just had it serviced 3 weeks ago.  Hmmm.  Thinking if the tranny ain't broke don't fix it.   Limp to the next exit.  Find a garage.   Nice guy.  He checks fuild again.  It's good.  Doesn't look like anything in it.  He calls a couple places and we head up the road 10 miles to the Chevy dealer in Adams.  Still 45-60 minutes to the islands.  Notify Eric we are stuck.  Of course arrive at then Chevy lace in time to wait for lunch.  Wait and hour to get it looked at.  Have lunch in the boat sitting in the parking lot.  Pic's to come. 

 Eric shows up with Mark.  2:00 Kev finds out The tranny is SHOT!!  We need to wait for the warrenty comany to show up and inspect.   24-48 hours. Could be Monday to find out if it is covered.  Eric hit the yellow pages and find a U-haul that we can rent for $125 to get boat up and in the water.  He comes back witha t 20 foot truck with a hitch.  Oh this going to great crossing the TI bridge and entering the park with a box truck.  Leave info at Chevy place after talking Kev not to tow truck back to Cdga.   Of course is wife is fuming and has her own nightmare going on at home.  Surprise State inspection of her daycare, Yikes! Still ahve to figure out how to get the boat back, get home sunday and pick up truck, god knows how long it will take.  Haven't have an ispection yet.

Well as some of you know I sell raffle tickets for the Hemophillia center (FLT).  I sold one of the grand prize tickets.  The one for 2 plane tickets on Jet Blu.  Sweet.  They haven't listed the winners yet so there may be more.  

1:27 and change.  Had a sweet swim and great bike run was good.  Working on RR. 

OK OK Mike caught me 1/2 mile into the run.   Finished 4 minutes in front of me.
