Yeah! Horribly Hilly was a blast. It is, in fact, horribly hilly. That said, while 200k would probably have lost the fun factor, I would have been happy to go a bit further. Well run event with Hammer nutrition and decent eats aftarward. Weather was perfect. Rode most of the time with Lori, and kicked it up by myself for the last eight miles or so.

Got over 48 mph on one of the descents. Fun!

Met a bunch of new BT'ers: Whizzzzz, Coredump, tribadger, RetireToTri, and PiggFinn. Great to meet everyone, look forward to seeing you again later this summer!

Couldn't fall asleep last night 'cuz the neighbors were being obnoxious.  And then one of the noisy jags kicked down and broke my for rent sign.  And then the cops paid them a visit.  And then I slept.

For the recored JSweat always talks about getting together but it only works out when I come visit him in his role as Kickball Commissioner / All Around Cool Guy At The Bar.

Felt great in the water today. Met PhilE in the pool, always good to run into another BT'er!

After 5:30 wake up calls both days this weekend waking up at 6:45 felt like sleeping until noon today.

Legs feel a bit tired but not bad.

On deck: one hour swim over lunch, 30m med ball tonight, followed by applying a coat of paint in the bathroom.  Went to Home Depot after work to buy the last of the tile, grout, and mortar needed fort he bathroom floor.  Then removed and threw away the toilet and put two coats of paint on the whole bathroom.

Tri bike. Hills with Jsweat. Legs felt allright but a bit tired. Yesterday's race was hilly and even though I backed off on the run I was giving it on the hilly bike course.

We really both got more than we bargained for, but in the grand scheme of things, probably a good thing. 4,130 feet of climbing over 80 miles, not bad! We both did a poor job with nutrition, I should have brought more solid food on the bike as my tummy wanted substance! Thanks to JSweat for delivering plenty of hot hilly action on the tour of Waukesha. I know where all the nice houses I can't afford are now.

Awesome weekend with Friday night socializing in Elkhart Lake and totally fun race Saturday morning.  Near epic ride this a.m. followed by lawn mowing and I finally bought tile for the bathroom, and looking forward to it being installed on Tuesday/Wednesday.  Wrapped it all up with grilled steak, zuccini, and squash on the grill with a fresh cucumber/red and yellow pepper/carrot/tomato salad with balsamic vinnegrette.  Seal the deal with custard topped with fresh strawberries.  I am so ready for Zzzzzzz.

"Recovery" week starts tomorrow, with total of 10 hours slated but only an hour slated for Saturday--this plan will be skewed a bit with the 100k Horribly Hilly ride on Saturday.
