Ride on the trainer sounded better than a run...with the cold and all. Probably one of my harder rides. Stood for 10 minutes of it in the hardest gear. Tried to "sweat" this cold out of my system. We'll see if it worked :-)

Still a little under the weather....moreso than yesterday.  bummer!  really want to get out and do something.  Slept about 10 hours last night which felt great.  I think it was dru@-induced...

Speed work at Oak Park HS Track. Ran Quarter repeats. Goal was 1:40 for each which is a 6:40 mile pace. Splits were:

Warm up - 1 mile - 8:57

6 - 1:43
7 - 1:42
Cool Down - Walk a couple hundred (should have done more but had to get home...stretched a little also).

Wanted to run a few more, but alas, always seems like I run out of time.

PAID my $59 for the Dutchman Triathlon today....well, actually charged it and will pay it later :-)  

REALLY Busy week with my ministry, a final next week, and a wedding this weekend in Iowa.  Going to be hard to get the training in.  But I need to do as much as possible since the Oly is 7 weeks away.  The wedding will be close to the race location (dutchmantriathlon.com).  Going to drive the route...looking forward to that.  It's in Pella, IA....I ran a few cross country races in the area during HS.  It's really hilly along the Des Moines River....and a beautiful area.

Rode a route around the neighborhood that gave me a light workout. Needed to get some time in the new shoes...got blisters after the first time. Going to try and get a little time in every day over the next week to break them in.

Turkey Hunting with Eric Today.  Had a few talking to us and saw several, but none came in close.  Beautiful morning.  Plan on getting a ride in sometime today and a long run in the morning.
