Easy swim today. Yesterday's run was kind of crazy...it was 87degrees when I started. the mile splits were...

1- 9:57
2- 9:54
3-10:01
4-11:10
5-11:55
6-12:22
last 400 - 3:56 (ha!)

hmmmmhhh...maybe a little too hot :-)

Decided that running a 16mpm pace probably wasn't worth it after that last lap. It was a wonder I didn't get heat stroke. I was zapped for the swim today...didn't have much energy. Oh well...live and learn.

nother good verse:

"And He is before all things, and in Him all things consist. And He is the head of the body, the church, who is the beginning the firstborn from the dead, that in all things He may have the preeminence." Colossians 1:17-18

Tri-Dreaming!!  OK...I'm officially addicted to training and tri's now.  We're camping this weekend and I had a dream about being in a race.  I was getting off the bike...going through T2.  The run course was not marked well and I was running around this maze of stakes, ropes, and lines on the ground.  I finally found the start of the run and my legs were feeling really good.  In fact they felt strong as ever.  I was sprinting off on the run.......then I hear my wife's voice...."a coon is in our cooler!"  I woke up and she's looking out the tent window and a coon is trying to make off with our food.  She just rolled her eyes when I told her about the dream.  It was too funny.  I hope my legs feel as strong in the real race coming up :-)

FIRST TRI....well sort of.  A friend has organized a tri at his neighborhood.  Calling it the "First annual Riss Lake Tri."  About 4 or 5 of us are doing it (so more for fun...except there is that competitive spirit to want to beat a buddy!)  Will be a 600 yd swim, 10 mile bike, 2.5 mile run.  Starting at 6:30am tomorrow...twill be fun!!!!

Rest day...needed one too.  Had some pretty hard workouts this week.  Swam 6000yds plus, two hard runs.  The bike's were pretty easy, but got a couple in.  Good rest for monday...

Ran some repeats with Jeff at the Oak Park HS track. Great workout today. Running with someone faster will really help me....although I don't know if it will help him :-) He was smooth and fast...wow...wish I had that form. We ran 10 quarters (400's). I ran my last one in 1:33....he ran his in 1:14. Sheesh...

Goal was 1:45 apiece. (1.5 to 2 min rest between)
