Longest run ever for me except for my 1 marathon. Was supposed to do 21 but I underestimated how far out the trail I went. Body parts all felt good (right foot was a minor issue as usual). Definitely pretty tired towards the end, but not completely wiped. Not bad considering poor diet and sleep this weekend wjile camping. Day off will be needed...
August 18
5 miles barefoot on the beach in RI. Really nice! Ran 1.25 with Linda at 11/ pace, then she turned back while I picked it up to the end of the beach (only another .25 away) I caught back up with her, and jogged her back to our spot - then ran to the other end and back - still not 5 miles, so I kept going a little further. Definitely felt the beach angle effects in my calves, but felt good otherwise. Barefoot is fun!
