Mind over Matter

No car, lots of ice, and the job is still amazing. I think you have to have had a really, really crappy job to appreciate something like this, but it is everything I'd want in life right now.
I look forward to not seeing double if I swing my head to sharply to the sides, and think how that could affect my swim stroke...and my chances of living.

Spent the day finding an honest mechanic. Luckily, I did, and he is within 2 miles of my house. I like Wichita. However, I have to ice my head and take aspirin, and work on remembering my own last name. I dislike Wichita. And, the satellite guy shows up, but takes 6 hours to install DirectTV. I hate Wichita. But, by the end of the day, I have over 200 channels to watch while icing my head. The jury remains out on Wichita.

DISASTER!!!! It was like the "move back 3 spaces" square of the board game "Life". I slipped on the ice up here (yup, we had 2-3 inches of snow), and bruised my tailbone. And my elbow. Oh, and possibly most important MY HEAD. I am writing this 5 days later, and I'm still picking capillary blood out of the back of my scalp. The chance that I had a concussion has become more real to me each day.
I then found another way to slip on the ice...this time, with my car. Bent my wheel. I now have no mode of transportation and a concussion. But at least the job is amazing.

Went running with a guy from work, who is also a triathlete. As is his boss. Whom I have started to subversively make aware of my belief that our company should have a tri team. My powers of subterfuge are amazing, consisting mainly of "Hey! I need a bike! What about the company paying for it, and a tri suit that has our company name on it?!? Make it happen!!!" I think he's catching on.
