Nice little run before work.
I've had two very interesting days. Friday, my boss left. For the year. And, due to a remarkable set of unconnected events, the other four people who know about what I do were all out of the offices here in Wichita and Houston. So, I was the resident authority on my part of the business for my company in the Western Hemisphere. And we're the top company in America at what we do! To find people more expert than me at the company, you'd have to go to Italy, China, or Korea. How we did not go bankrupt is beyond me, but I handled everything. It was quite an experience.
Oh yeah!! And I get to go skiing in two days with my family in Calgary! Score it!
Oy. I am exhausted. And I have a lot to do before leaving for Calgary. I may not have time to work out tomorrow...and I may be too exhausted anyway. Today was a long day in that regard. So much learning, so much exercise, not quite enough rest...I'm trying, but my body doesn't seem to want 8 hours sleep. Ingrate.

I'm not sore after yesterday's workout, which is great. I might get into the pool later this afternoon, and then workout before work tomorrow...or just workout before work tomorrow. We'll see.
I re-evaluated my race schedule today, and was able to find some more races in Kansas, plus some duathlons to vary it up. I'm also considering a second HIM. It'll give me 2 sprints, 2 Olys, and 2 HIMs for the season, spread out enough so I get good recovery, but close enough so that the important 5 are in 14 weeks.

Spin.
Big day. The guy from work wanted to go hard, and that's what we did. He gave me a lot of coaching while we were spinning, it was just us two, so that was really cool.
And then we went for a run. Quite a day.
It's been snowing all day, and it is just lovely out. Looks like a painting. Except for when I'm throwing snowballs at passing cars. That probably a little less picturesque.
The amount of water I drink in an average day is getting ridiculous. Like well over 200oz. Its a way at work to get up to stretch my legs, so I just keep refilling my water bottle...and by the end of the day, I've drunk an amazing amount of water.

First day of skiing in 2 years. It was glorious! Kyle and I had the slope almost to ourselves. We had to drive out from Calgary, so we didn't get a full day in, but it was awesome nonetheless.
