Didn't have my Forerunner as this wasn't really a planned run and I don't really know the distance.. I keep running shorts/shirt/shoes at work just for these occasions.

The knee didn't bother me at all. In fact, for the last 1/3 of this run, I diddn't even think about it as my mind wondered. Unless the knee gets worse by tomorrow morning, I'm not going to worry about it anymore, but will continue to add ITB stretches to my routine.

[blue]Knee pain is pracically gone. I can make it come in faintly, but I think I'm going to go for an easy, short run at lunch today to see what that does. [/blue]

Mostly an easy swim. I did go pretty hard at the end of the last 600 and swam a 1:46. I think I could keep that pace for 300yds, but it's not worth the effort (HR was at 180ish) to shave 30 seconds in the Rockwall tri.

The water slides turned on midway through the swim and I was in the lane nearest the slides. I don't understand it as the slides don't open until 4pm (it was lunchtime). Oh well, it gave me some current to swim against.

[blue]Knee pain is still slightly noticable when I roll myself forward in my chair using my feet. I'm going to swim at lunch and probably ride the rollers tonight to get an easy in-the-saddle ride.

[blue] Knee is doing well. It very rarely hurts at all. Yesterday, while still in bed, it would hurt when I bent and straightened the leg. Today, there are only rare circumstances that give any indication of pain. I've got a real busy work day and will not be able to swim at lunch, so I may just take today completely off. Update, I guess I need to make today a red square. I will have either an easy swim or ride to work tomorrow.[/blue]

[blue] Rest day. Woke up and I disconvered that I tweaked my left knee in the VO2 test yesterday. It doesn't hurt at all when I walk or jog, but a certing point when I bend it (ie sitting down), I'll get a slight streak of pain. I'm going to take it easy and I'm not sure what this next week of training will be (but will most probably include alot of swimming.[/blue]

Not sure of the distance as it was on the trainer. Warmup for the VO2 test was on the bike.

VO2 test today. It went well, but my HR didn't really get up there. I think this was due to the short time for each test. Each test started easy and then got harder and only lasted about 10-12 minutes. My HR never got out of the upper 180's. I don't know the results yet as this was group testing for TNT folks. Basically, we each got 1 hour of testing and the data will be deciphored by the lab guy and the TNT coach (whose real job is also a tri coach). This is really fine as I got a test for run & bike for less than I would have spent for a run test at my health club. I can say pretty much for sure that the results will be considerably lower than my LT field test which had my LT at 187.

I was running late picking up my 6 yr old an knew the carpool line would be ridiculous. I threw on my running shoes (no socks) and put Laurn in the joggin stroller. I ran to school, picked up Peyton and jogged back home as he rode his scooter.

Swim

The goal for this swim was to keep my hr below 150 for the 2000 yrd swim.

[blue]Playing Mr. Mom today as Tiffany was out volenteering at the LLS office. I sent Peyton off to school, got my bike inspected, then went to the health club. I put lauren in their day care and swam my laps. Then, Lauren and I lounged at the pool with the rest of the stay-at-home moms.

Commute To Work
Needed to make it to work for a meeting, so I cut out the section through the wooded trail. Good, easy ride.

Commute Home
Nothing real interesting. It was hot and mostly into a headwind, but at this point it doesn't bother me much ... except when I'm stopped and the sweat just pours and I'm engulfed with the heat from the street.

Legs are a little sore from the run last night, but not too bad that I couldn't ride to work :)
