March 21

Well, took the wild child to the doctor on Tuesday...ended up in the hospital.  They thought her appendix was going bad...ended up just being a virus that mimics the appendix.  Glad they ran all the test and just observed her in the hospital.  Did not like the pain she was in...really bad.  We are now home again...now back to training.  Of course as soon as we got home the electric went out.  I'm ready for the dark cloud to leave the wild child.

 

Will take today as my off day and get some training in on Friday after the massage!

Rode outer rode from exit 145 to 135 and back...traffic not bad. Had a GU every 20 min and 1 salt pill at 1H15M. drank 40 oz NUUN at 1H27M (21.97 miles=15.15mph). Had to refill speedfil, re-cream and call home for status update (about 3 min).
Took another route...way to rough was going a lot slower. The entire course was hilly (several hills a .4/.5 miles) and windy (15 mph+...both ways). Felt really good will continue to ride here---minus the rough route. Only 2 groups of dogs out here...knew the area from last year...not aggressive...but you have to pay attention.

Changed long ride for today.  Will ride the shorter ride on Sat with hubby!!!

Windy going out on the troop trail (lots of hills). Had to go in several places due to rocks.

Drank 30 oz NUUN on the ride...drank more to try and run out. Had a gu gel at the start. Felt very good to be outside. Drank the rest of the NUUN after the ride.

Windy and hilly. Had to pee the entire run-too much NUUN on the ride...I'm sure that added to the pace. Drank no water...wanted water at the mile marker. Will try and run with the belt vs. hand held. Will continue to run on the troop trail to get my pace correct.
