Today I started reading Don Fink's Iron Fit - another book that seems to make perfect sense and fits in with my busy lifestyle.  Can't wait to start the 30week program in 10 week's time!

He also says on page 194 (I looked it up) road bike vs tri bike - whatever, don't buy a tri bike if you've got a perfectly good road bike....mmmmm that got me thinking.  I'm so comfortable and relatively safe on my roadie! 

My LBS has a huge sale on Sunday so I'm going along - if i can get a bargain trek then I shall....

No training today - lazy really I could so have run at lunchtime...but nah!

Hair straightening tonight so no sweating or getting it wet until at least saturday - in fact I'll try and last until Sunday.

Had a nice phone conversation with a friend this morning who has been a bit cold and distant of late and it was nice to get that back.  made me smile.  This person has a lot going on in their life I should cut them some slack - but i'm demanding.....

What a great swim squad that was.

Great news that his awesomeness Coach Johnny is back swimming after over a year off!  (health issues, heart problems etc) - he is even contemplating doing Alcatraz to San Francisco, he must be feeling better.

Managed 2.7km - wow put into practice some of the Swim Speed Secrets stuff on catch and pull etc - felt like I was gliding through the water, actually propelling myself forwards rather than fighting the water.  Deltoids were sore after which is right too!  

Can't say I was fast, but I think technique was much improved - no criticism from Coach Johnny either - that's a first!
