June 22

Wow what a morning for a run.  Was only about 10 degrees Celsius but the sun was shining when I set off around 9am.  Headed down to the beach for my 10km run - 5km to the pier, turnaround and home.

Heaps of cyclists out on Beach Rd and a lot of runners too.  I wore my new Soleus Pink watch which I picked up in Cairns at the expo - I love it!  It doesn't do anything flash like my new Garmin but it does do a 2min/1min timer so I could do my run/walk strategy without pressing buttons on my phone or counting. 

It was a perfect run, really comfortable, on days like these I could easily run a marathon!

Headwind on the way back was refreshing as a runner but I felt for the cyclists!

It's made me smile on an otherwise 'down' day (damn this hormones every 28 days turn into a complete basket case!)

A lunchtime run in what felt like Arctic conditions, cold and windy but dry at least!  I did 4 laps of Carlton Gardens, such a beautiful spot - did some sprints (20secs every 5 mins).  All up did 5.7km in 38mins which is a good pace for me considering I do a run walk ratio of 2:1.

Wind trainer tonight - 45mins planned....

In other news the coach from the tri club called me - we are meeting on sunday to work on a plan for my HIM and IM races!  Woohoo.

After Monday night's swim squad I finally feel quite confident that I can pull off the 3.8km IM swim.  Just the bike and the run to put together now!
