EXTERRRRMINAAAATE!

Ran for as long as I could before having to turn around so I could get back and shower before my next client. Had a pretty good run today, the pace was good and it didn't feel like I was working really hard.
After my nap at the beach. It was good to get in the nice cool pool after being so hot on the beach.
I was supposed to go 1500 today, but I needed to relax after my workout at 1, so I only had time for 500 today.
With Pete during boot camp.
Chest and Back today. Went heavy.

I think I'm addicted to exercise. I worked out three times today, nevermind working out with clients.

0815 - Funny thing...I feel like I ran 50 miles yesterday even though I didn't. I worked out a lot though...the CrossFit routine we did, and then the hard workout at the gym...plus all the runnning around we were doing yesterday and then going to the movies...busy day!! I even helped Jess cook dinner so I was always doing something yesterday. I may not have run 50 miles, but I must have burned at least half the calories doing what I did. This morning I feel lean and I'm really hungry, so I guess I did something right.
Still not feeling guilty about DNS'ing yesterday. Now I just have to figure out how I'm gonna run 40 or 50 miles in Tampa next weekend.
It's about time to head home to Tampa...hopefully we will get home a little faster than we got here. Maybe not as many stops this time? We'll try to consolidate the stops.
It's been a really fun weekend even though I was disappointed in the race circumstances. I had a great time and some good conversations.

I didn't go super heavy on this one, but it was a pretty good workout even so.
PM - I feel a little bit better now that I've actually done something athletic today. I still have to run a bit today and I have to do a weights workout some time tonight. I think we're gonna go see Watchmen again tonight...I need to see it again to take out some nuances that I missed the first time.
AM - OK, I didn't do the race today. It's 40 degrees here, it's raining, it's windy. The last thing I need is to run 50 miles in the rain and get sick for Umstead. The whole point of all this is to practice for Umstead. If I get sick for Umstead and am unable to do it, I've pretty much killed myself. So...no 50 miler for me today. Instead, I'm gonna do some CrossFit with Jess and Brian this morning, I'll run for an hour later on, and then I'm gonna go do a weights workout later on tonight.
The plan is to, next week, start running on Saturday evening and run into the night, finishing some time early Sunday morning. I can get at least 40 miles in next week I'm sure. I just feel as though this is the right decision because getting sick for Umstead just is NOT an option. 40 degrees with wind and rain is just not my idea of a good day. If this was my A-race, fine...go for it...but it's not.

Not a lot of sleep and LOTS of driving...probably over 16 hours if you combine the drive from Tampa to Nashville, the drive from Nashville to Grand Rivers, Grand Rivers to Paducah (for dinner) and back to GR.
Upon arriving we drove up to the lake house to drop stuff off and then we went and picked up the packets at the chamber of commerce. A nice carby Olive Garden dinner afterwards, and we headed back to the lake house. With all the driving, running around, and fun we had, I was exhausted.

At Ingraham Pool before my weights workout. Wanted to go as fast as possible in this workout so it was not "cardio" before an anaerobic workout. So all the 100's and 50's were at about 90 percent race effort.
Did this one in the weight room at Ingraham. Used some old school metal dumbbells and stuff. Like a hardcore gym. Cool.

On the Dunedin Causeway at lunchtime. It was cool and cloudy today, so no one was out there, but oh well. It was a good run.
Lots of abs stuff with clients today. No weights workout. It was leg day anyway, and I can't do legs heavy right now. Not til after the 100.
