I did my boot camp workout with the campers tonight.
WU:
1 min jumping jacks
1 min slaloms

MS1:
4 rounds of:
48 walking lunges
15 pushups
20 situps

MS2:
Tabata reverse crunches

MS3:
Tabata burpees

CD:
1 min continuous jog

This workout made me feel a little better. Endorphins really help with my moods.

1345 - Extremely stressful day today.  I am not sure Snap Fitness is gonna continue to work for me...the arrangement is costing me money now and I'm getting frustrated.  Some good info has come my way regarding a job that might happen in a month or so, so I am gonna really try to keep that option open.

Good run with G. We did the first 9 miles together and then I did the last 3 by myself so I could try to get close to my 15 mile goal. My calves and quads were NOT having it, so I cut it short...but at least I got to have some yummy food with G and Bri afterwards at Daily Eats!! :)

So I went to the gym this morning and got on a spin bike to do an hour on the bike before the actual spin class. I used my own music and did my own spin class. Lots of fun! Then I did the the spin class, it was awesome today. Definitely a great workout. I will be doin' that again some time soon, it was a blast!

0820 - Well I found out where the "migraine" came from...I have an infection around a tooth in the left rear of my mouth.  It hurts.  I am irrigating it with Listerine once every 3 hours and taking an anti-inflammatory to keep the swelling down.  When I woke up this morning I had a blood blister in the location of the infection there was dried blood on my teeth...so, I need to keep track of this.  I don't have a regular dentist just yet.  If this progresses, then I'll go.

1630 - No workouts, no work, no classes.  I have a migraine.  Ummmm....OUCH.

1105 - Definitely feeling better today.  Calves are still a bit sore though.  I feel like I ran my first marathon!  I suppose going faster than I ever have before is a reason for that, but I am definitely hoping the soreness ceases soon...I have speedwork to do today.
Hopefully my MuscleUp class will happen tonight at Snap.  I could use the extra cash this week.

Sport #1
  • Bikram Yoga
  • 1h 30m

Fight gone bad day today...had to do my workout from home so I wanted to do something challenging, but still home-do-able.

3 rounds of 1 minute each of:
Pushups 28 26 31
KB swings left (12kg) 21 28 24
KB swings right (12kg) 22 28 28
Situps 20 26 30
DB thrusters (2 x 35#) 9 9 9

Did Thom's Bikram class with Renee tonight...it was her first practice. She did pretty well...I was really impressed! My yoga practice tonight was definitely not my best...I really felt the marathon tonight. In Ardha Chandrasana I could get to 90 degrees right, but only about 75 degrees left. My left side is a little bit tighter. Same thing for Dandayamana Bikhaptapada Paschimottanasana (can you say that out loud?)...my left leg had to bend a lot more than my right so I could get my forehead to my knee. I'm still not recovered by any means. I definitely know that now. Speed work tomorrow?? Sheesh...we'll see.

0950 - Well it looks like another OWS isn't gonna happen today...it's not gonna get out of the 50's and we've got 20-25mph wind coming on shore making the wave heights 7-9 feet.  Not effective training conditions.  Lake Coeur d'Alene will not have waves.  The water temp is comparable, at 59 degrees, but with those wave heights, I won't risk it.  Gonna try to do yoga tonight if I can manage it.  Bri comes home tonight.

Bike

eSpinner class. Intervals. Didn't want to have too much intensity today, still recovering from the marathon and I have a swim to do later.

Swim
  • 23m 15s
  • 1500.00 yards
  • 01m 33s /100 yards

Another great swim tonite. I am really starting to love swimming...this is good!

WU:
100 easy - 139

MS:
400 - 637 (139 pace) 300 to beat - 455
300 - 450 (137 pace) 200 to beat - 311
200 - 310 (135 pace) 100 to beat - 133
100 - 127 (127 pace)
6 x 50 on 30" RI's - 39 39 39 39 39 39
Woohoo! Never held exactly the same pace for all my 50's before. Last two were VERY hard!
CD:
100 moderate - 138

2235 - My day was long today, but a bunch of good things came out of it.  One of my clients bought another 10 sessions with me, and I may get a new private training client who will pay me enough that I will start to see some light at the end of my financial tunnel! YAY!!  I hope good things keep coming!

0930 - Full day at Snap Fitness today...12 - 8.  A bunch of assessments and then two of my regular clients.
Another below average temperature day in Florida, it's March already and it still isn't gonna get out of the 60's today.  We're talking about over two months of temperatures averaging 15 to 20 degrees below normal!  Even yesterday when it was 70 degrees, it was almost 10 degrees below the normal temp.  Climate changes are for real.
