Yay for a sub 6 bike at CdA!! I had been hoping for this but I didn't wanna go out too hard and not be able to run! Super thrilled with this bike time. Bonked pretty hard at the end of the first lap but I brought myself back with mega calories. Second lap was VERY windy.

Not the run I wanted to have but still okay with it. My legs cramped up pretty bad at Mile 14...so I had to make do with what I had in me. I managed to come back a bit by taking some Beta Alanine and eating/drinking alot on lap 2. Finished strong, but slow. Finish picture is gonna be funny!!

1710 - Bags dropped, bikes dropped, ART treatment received, last little run completed.  Time to eat, relax, and rest up for tomorrow! 

0720 - Time to pack up the gear bags and get things together!  Need to go to the expo to buy a few more gels...and I think I am gonna swim again too...I wanna get a little more water time.  The water is 60 degrees today, which sucks...it was 63 the other day...3 degrees makes a big difference.  I hope it warms up a bit today and stays there.  It would suck if all these warm water days made no difference at all and we still swam in freezing ass water.
           Today is bland eating day...nothing to upset the stomach...the Mexican and the burger yesterday would not be acceptable food today.

Little swimmy on the course. Water temp was 61 this morning...way better than last time in 08. Definitely much more refreshing and easy to deal with. No stabbing pains or numb hands...good stuff!!

1705 - Yay for CdA!!  We got here early this afternoon and have been doing our first day stuff.  We went grocery shopping, ate some lunch, went to registration (it was closed when we got there, so we'll do it tomorrow), and picked up our bikes at TBT.  Now we're gonna relax and think about dinner.

Ironman in a bag!


1355 - At the airport and ready to get on that plane!!  I am so psyched to be out of here for a week.  It's mostly because of the weather...it's wearing me down.  The heat and humidity is definitely on my "things I won't miss" list.  Of course, I'll have to get used to cold and wind and snow when I move to Canada with Bri, but I think at this point, I'll trade it for the intense heat and humidity that we experience here.  I've had 12 years of it...I'm ready to make a change.

1130 - All set to go!!  Packed up, checked in, and business taken care of for the day.  Even had a massage this morning.  I'm ready to be on the road to Coeur d'Alene!  I will meet Janelle and Jon in Seattle tonight and then tomorrow morning we'll head off toward CdA and pick up Pete on the way.  Ironman Week has begun!!

6 days!!

2115 - Today was a bad day emotionally.  I kinda can't wait to get out of Florida for a week...I just need a break from my life.  I'm really feeling down about my non-athletic life lately.  It's not fun being me outside of running or tri.  Hmmmph.  I hope things get better soon.  I am gonna skip the bike and just do it tomorrow after I swim.  My motivation for doing a 30 minute bike tonight is just nil.

1010 - I am sore from all the walking yesterday.  This is RACE WEEK!!  I'm gonna eat lots of protein, only do a few minutes of working out per day, and get recovered!  I've started packing my bags for the trip and I'm super excited to get out there!  I miss CdA...it's been 2 years since I've been there, so I'm really anxious to spend time there again.  I love it there...well, in the summer anyway.  :)
           Only a 30 minute bike on the schedule today.  I'll do that in between clients and before I head to work at Feet First from 1 to 7.  Time to get movin'!
