Yesterday wound up being a rest day...and today will be as well. I think my legs are tired from all the speedwork and CrossFit so I think I just need to let 'em rest for today and tomorrow. I will stretch and use compression over the next couple days so that my legs are in good shape for Sunday morning.

May or may not do a short 2 miler today...just to feel my legs under me before the marathon on Sunday.

10 x 100 at 12.0mph on the treadmill. 90sec rest between efforts.
This is my last speed session before the Toronto Marathon. I will do one more slow easy 2 miler at the end of the week, and that's it.

Did this on the treadmill at 11mph.
15 min. AMRAP of:
10 plyo pushups
20 GHD situps
30 kb swings 50#
Got thru 5 rounds and almost finished the sixth but didnt make it. 16 kb swings as it turned 15 mins.

Well...this didn't go as planned obviously.
I slipped turning a corner a little bit after the half way point. I thought I could just run thru it, but the slip caused a knot in my calf. At Mile 15 I was slowing down and then as I grabbed water at an aid station, it popped. I fell as my leg gave out. So I walked back to the aid station and they called support. Unfortunately it took 30 minutes for them to get to me and I went hypothermic. My core temp was 91 degrees when they finally got to me. I was totally defeated by the rain and wind.
This day makes me feel like I never wanna do another marathon again. I need some time to forget about this one for sure. Especially since I was on pace to hit my goal.
