Post race rest day. I'm tired and sore. I would have slept all day if I didn't have to work.

Gasparilla Half Marathon. Not exactly the time I wanted. I was hoping for a 1:30 to 1:31 and to feel great afterwards. I got neither. The wind was 22mph and was in my face for the entire final 4 miles. It just killed me. I had been at 1:31 pace until that time. Oh well...I have a lot of work to do in the 6 weeks I have left til Boston.

Four Flatwoods loops with the BBD path out and back. The wind was absolutely crazy. In the tailwinds I was making 23 with almost no effort at all. Into the headwind, 18 was a hard effort. I did wind up making 19 with not too much sweat, so I kept it there for as long as I could. I'm pretty impressed with this Speed Concept and its ability to cut thru wind. Especially with the ZIPPs.
Four Green Fields run. WOW...more wind!! It was nice on the way out but the 2.5 miles north on Bayshore were just INSANE!!! I felt like I was gonna explode when I was done!! I wanted to have a good pace so I pushed it where I needed to...good thing the way down was easy cuz I wouldn't have been able to keep up that effort for much longer.
