Recovery + Speed
Easy run around the neighborhood with 6 x 100 strides included. Actually felt pretty good, not really sore and not at all fatigued. I did switch up the schedule though. I'm going to do the VO2 max workout on Thursday which was originally scheduled for today. Didn't want to risk injury by pushing it and want to make sure I'm fully recovered from my 20.

Long.
8 laps at Centennial. Started off with my jacket, lost it after the first lap because it was getting warmer. Took the gloves off on the last lap. Definitely warmed up!
The park was packed by the time I finished. Saw someone from work their with her husband and their dog. Last lap picked up the pace of course. Last two miles were 6:47 and 6:25.
Last 20 of the Boston training today. Plan is to take it at an average pace and try not to go too fast (as I usually do).
Picked up the Dura Ace goodies yesterday on one of our errands and shot the stuff with Paul (the owner of the shop) for a few minutes. He's still waiting for pricing for the Zipps, and then we'll order my 999's.
WOOHOO!! Boston bib numbers are up and corrals!! The first number is the corral. So I'm in the 5th:

Busy day! Lots of things to do to get ready for my friend and his family coming over. Plus we had to drop off Mir's Pilot to get a trailer hitch put on early, so no morning workout. Plan is to try and get a trainer ride after they leave this afternoon.
Ended up making it a dinner, so no workout. Had a good time though.

5 x 300 (5:54, 5:40, 5:36, 5:33, 5:37)
5 x 200 (3:43, 3:42, 3:38, 3:39, 3:42)
Probably my best swim ever. Just felt good in the water and stayed smooth. Pace on the first 100 of each interval was in the high 1:40's. Finally had "one of those days" on the good scale!!
Getting my windshield replaced today, so I have to sit by the phone waiting for the mobile repair truck to call. So I'm home from work until that happens, and no workout yet. Scheduled swim, but not sure what the mid-day times are, need to check online for them. If not then I'll squeeze some sort of ride in.
Windshield is fixed. In the office right now. Going to search about pool times now.

When I talked to the shop on Tues. she said that the trucks from corporate arrive on Tues. and Thurs. and she is always there for them (manager). She expects the frame to arrive today. We'll see.
My boss (Chris - he did IMWI in '04 and is the primary reason and inspiration that I got on this latest marathon/endurance trip) just asked me to lunch tomorrow to "share some good news" with me. In other words ......... I'M GOING TO GET PROMOTED TO ASSOCIATE WITH MY FIRM!! Oh hell yeah!!
