w/u - 300 swim, 4 x 75 (25 k, 25 dr, 25 sw)
Main set:
300 descend (5:38)
4 x 100 hard on 2:00 (1:40, 1:43, 1:43, 1:43)
6 x 100 descend 2-2-2 on 2:30 (1:55, 1:55, 1:49, 1:48, 1:43, 1:39)
c/d - 6 x 50 (25 free, 25 breast)
Really solid swim today. Worked hard but tried to stay smooth and in control in the water. Definitely seeing improvement and it is a good feeling!
Going to schedule the one on one swim coaching for either next week or the one after that to rally start working on improving the swim. I know the bike is really my limiter right now, but I do not want any sort of repeat of last year in the water. I know I can ride already ... ;-P
Felt is done! I tweaked the position a little but still need to work on it to get it right. And I need to get the cyclometer switched over still.
Calling for rain and heavy wind with barely 40 degrees on Monday. Lovely weather for a marathon.

Recovery
Easy loop around the neighborhood. Cold out, but not windy or rainy. Schedule said 6, but I don't see a need for that and I don't need to be later for work to get in the extra 3 miles. I'd rather play it on the side of having a low mileage easy week than stress anything out. No hrm on the run.

w/u - 400 sw
Main set:
3 x 400 descend, last one at T-Pace (1:00 rest). Splits were 7:43, 7:35, 7:26. Pretty fast for me! ;)
c/d - 100 moderate
Workout in the book was longer, but don't want to overdo it this week. I had pretty good pace and actually did well on the 400's without getting wiped towards the end as I used to do on longer intervals.
One week until Boston!! I'm as ready as I can get. Only thing that worries me is that most of the people in the house are sick ..... last thing I need a week out from the biggest race of my life. Oh well, if I get sick so what. I'll still be running!
I need to go by the shop again and get another brake cable and a decent length of SIS houing for the rear derailleur as I didn't have enough. The Felt requires you to run housing all the way from the shifters through the frame and pops out the bottom bracket area. So I didn't have enough to complete the build. Once those two things are done it just needs to have the brakes and derailleurs tweaked and it will be good to go! I did throw it on the scale .... slightly disappointed that it is at 19.0. But it does have a tank set of wheels on it right now.........

General Aerobic
3 of the bigger laps around the neighborhood. Scheduled for 4, but just not feeling it. It was cold, windy, overcast ans my wife's Aunt was there watching the two younger kids, so I didn't want her to have to deal with both little ones if they got out of control (she's close to 70).
Those extra 3 miles aren't going to make or break the marathon. ;-P
Last long run before Boston today. 12 miles. Going to go relatively easy hopefully. My back has been really bothering me the last few days (since Thurs.).
Happy Easter everyone!

GASP! What's this?? A rest day??? ;)
Going to work on the Felt, take the oldest to an Easter egg hunt (should be easy to find colored eggs in the WHITE SNOW ON THE GROUND .........) and blow shit up playing Command and Conquer 3.
On the house front ...... we are going to file a formal complaint with the Attorney General to get the builder in deep shit since we still haven't resolved the money issues. Hopefully with threatened jail time and huge fines they'll drop trying to go after the 42k we withheld from them for the last payment.
