Medium-Long

Out and back to Laurel side of I-95 at LSD pace. Started off feeling pretty easy, but labored more towards the end. Longest run in quite a long time.

Ended up working 5 hours and taking care of the kids in the morning so Mir could get in a good walk with her friends.  Then played with the kids after working and eating cheap Chinese, so no workout yesterday.  Getting ready to go out for a nice LSD right now, then later taking Brendan to a x-country meet in Frederick.

Want to swap out the parts on Sonia so I can do a how-to for that install as well.

Also had to replace my radiator in my car that I had ordered and got in Weds.  My car has been leaking out of the top of the radiator and I had to fill it up every trip I made.  So I'm glad I got that in (less than an hour swap in my car .... real easy).

And both Brendan and Collin ran today!  Collin (5 years old) ran in the 1k and got 6th place for boys!!  He isn't even officially on the team, but did great!  Brendan (8 years old) ran the 2k with his AG and got 13th, 4 better than last weekend!  He looked solid and held off 3 other kids that were coming up on him at the finish.

Tempo

5 laps of the field at the kids x-country practice. Didn't feel like coaching today as I missed my run this morning, so I kind of hung out and waited to see if they'd need me and they didn't. So I took off to run.

Also, while waiting for them to finish I decided to do Dev's 400 challenge from ST and did a timed hard 400 which I haven't done in years. 66.63 for time.

Site visit to PA again.  All day.  Then cutting the grass and taking Brendan to x-country practice.  Busy day.

Ladder

100, 200, 300, 400, 500

Nice and smooth ladder. Nothing too hard, but not a simple slow day.

Lots of stress with work right now ....... one project with deadline, other one having major hiccups in construction because of the code officials.  Joy .........

General Aerobic

Out and back to circle at 29 on 216. Nice even run, moderate effort. Not really sore or fatigued from Sunday surprisingly.

Well, pretty crappy month from a training perspective.  Partly back to school to blame, partly racing schedule, partly laziness ......  It is the "end" of my season so I am more focused on enjoying it before ramping up again in a few months.

RR is up.

September 29

Rest day from training other than x-country practice with the kids tonight.  Not really sore yet today.  We'll see if that kicks in later.

I'm "officially" in my off season now.  Only things on the schedule for the rest of the year are my usual running events (Baltimore marathon, Jingle Bell 5k, Celtic Solstice 5 miler).  I have participated in those for at least the last 3 years and it has become a sort of tradition.

Gonna do a post on reflections of the year soon ..........
