2010 - Will the heart let me train?

April 4

Had to go up to PA again for a meeting and left at 7:00, so no run until I get home, and no swim.  Busy day at work.

Recovery + Speed

2 of the big loops around the hood. 6 x 100 strides mixed in. Legs were tired towards the end even though pace is okay.

I did flip 600 miles running for the year today. If I had actually done everything that was on my schedule it would be over 700-ish .... ugh!!

Medium-long

Out and back to my side of I-95 on Rt. 216. Cool out, about 42 and once again windy as hell ..... into my face the whole return 5-1/2 miles. I hate that crap ... brings the effort level way up with no return as the pace still gets slower.

I had gotten my Boston packet a few days ago but it got burried in the mail pile and I didn't know about it!  Grrrr ......

I have a meeting with a structural engineer on one of my projects early this morning so no swim today.

Rainy out all day today.  We have to return the chipper and didn't even get to use it since Saturday morning.  Now we have piles of big sticks all over the yard ....... we'll need to rent another one next weekend to finish up.  Oh well .......

And yes folks, it's no joke!  2 years ago today we were blessed with son number 3 ....... Aiden Thomas ...... happy birthday little guy!!

5 x 100 with :20 rest interval

I really wanted to try and fit 1 x 500 at the end, but just didn't have time. Swim felt average, but what the hell, it is only like the 5th time in the pool this month ... doh!!

Kids are back to school today.  Back to the old grind ........

The chipper broke down yesterday and the repairmen from the place we rented said it just needed a new belt which he couldn't get until Monday morning.  So no luck with finishing all that this weekend.  We'll have a lot cleaned up, just a bunch of piles of sticks throughout the yard.  Oh well ......

Recovery

3 of the shorter loops around the hood at an easy pace. It was sunny but only 28 degrees. Isn't supposed to be spring????

More yardwork on the schedule for the day.  Mir had rented a chipper for the week and has been going crazy with collecting all the sticks under the trees around the property (we are near a slightly wooded area and people for years would dump their yard waste on the property before we built on it).

Fuck yeah!!  I got 'em!!!  Middle of the pavillion on the right side!!
