Hilly loop

Out through Olney up Georgia Ave. to Glenwood and then down Frederick Rd. (past the kids' school) and up Triadelphia back to my usual route home via Ten Oaks.

Talk about a hilly ride! Almost never flat, constantly rolling. My kind of ride! But it was tough as the legs were a bit tired. I kept the pace and effort relatively easy, but it still takes a good bit out of you when you are constantly climbing.

Legs are still feeling a little cooked.  So no run this morning.  I'll either try to get out for a run or ride tonight.

Swim

Continuous 1,500 swim. Just wanted to get in the water and stay smooth and even throughout. Did pretty well with that and ramped it up just a hair the last 200.

Legs are pretty tired from the last two days.

Recovery

Easy out and back to circle at 29 along 216. Legs are a little sore and body is a little fatigued. But not so much that I couldn't run comfortably. Very humid this morning and a couple of drops of rain. Also relatively warm.

Princeton Ride

8.27 mile warm up ride over to the shop.

Hammered with the front group on Sonia and actually hung with a group for most of it! Even had a tnadem in it which was fun on the flats to draft.

Sort of putzed the ride home from where I turn off to go back which is about 10 miles, which is why the average is low. Legs are pretty cooked from yesterday and everything today. Gonna be sore tomorrow probably.

Remembrance Run 5k

14th overall, 3rd in 30-39 AG, but awarded 2nd because the 5th place overall guy was in my AG. Different people said that it was long. One guy had 3.27 from his Garmin, another had 3.17 on his. So I'll go with the shorter of the two. Based on that I would have had a PR at a 3.1 race. Good overall performance but didn't feel that great in the last mile or so, felt long (obviously) and lost a little bit of a step. Didn't get passed after the first mile though. Got a gift card to a local running shop, think it is around $15 or so.

Getting the house and yard ready for a small family barbecue tomorrow.  My family will be coming over along with a few friends.  Gotta cut the grass and clean the house.

We saw Indy 4 last night.  It was alright, about what I expected after reading various reviews.  Good flick for thrills and entertainment.  No Oscar material though. ;)

No ride.  Just taking care of things around the house so that it is presentable for tomorrow.

Gonna rename my log "The Year of the Slacker."
