Lunchtime Ride
Ride to Vivian Park again, but we (Mark and I) also added an extra mile climb up South Fork just to mix it up. It felt pretty good. One of these days, if we can afford to take the extra time, we will climb to the top of South Fork. Definitely could have today given the time.

50 miler - West side of Utah Lake - w/Gnarly headwind
Met up around 7 am in Lehi to do a longer ride with Mark. When we headed out, we definitely had a tailwind that was pushing us around 26-27mph. We backed off on the pace a bit and went with what we thought was a comfortable pace - to save some juice for the way back. When we turned around, we faced a headwind, so we didn't push it real hard - saved some gas for later. It wasn't until the last 10 mi or so though where the wind really started to suck! It was an almost 20 mph headwind, so it took significant effort to even hold 15 mph in those last 10 mi. I ended up gaining about 20 min on Mark for the total ride.
This ride certainly wasn't the easy 50 mi ride I was hoping for, but it was still good! ;)

Morning Run
Went out and ran this morning. Kept it shorter @ 4 mi to keep the legs fresh for a ride this afternoon. I was itching to get out and run though (didn't work out yesterday), so I went out. Also wanted to redeem myself if I was feeling up to it after tuesday's run. Turns out I was ;-) - the run felt good!
Long ride tomorrow!
Midday Ride - Office to Vivian
Good ride again with Pinson. He made some adjustments to his bike and he's doing better with his pace. Overall, a comfortable ride today that included a section or two of fast riding.
Saving the legs for the ride tomorrow. Not a ton of climbing, but an increase in distance (50+ mi).

Easy Lunchtime Ride
Another stroll up to Vivian Park from the office today for lunch. Again, held back to avoid killing Mark (Pinson) since he's still getting back his riding base. Still hammered in a few small sections to put a smile on my face. The bummer about today's ride was that we missed Craig and Matt by about 30 min. Next time I'll coordinate better.

Morning Hill Run
Did a decent distance, and included W 7000 S hill climb to add some extra challenge. Actually felt really good this morning despite the significant volume increase on the bike last week. Seems to maybe be providing some benefit to my running too. Just imagine how sweet it'll be when I shed my winter weight all the way off again too :) Can't wait! Finally finding my motivation to go this season!
