The day is flying by!  Workouts done. Made a quick Starbucks run with Mary, then home to get Finn, WHO DID NOT PEE on my floor today! YA HO!  Progress.  Also, I have taught him a new trick from our doggie class at Petsmart last night!  He is so motivated to learn with food is involved!  Well, aren't we all?  Gotta get Conor, then over to Pop pops with his late Christmas gift that just came in the mail. 

Watched LOST last night.  WOO HOO!  I love shows where TIME TRAVEL loops present problems...it makes ya think!

Made up for taking off yesterday.  Mary and I took kids to school, then off to the pool for a swim.  Drove over to our "other" gym for a spin class and then lifted.  Had a Mocha, home for a shower and change.  Finn had peed all over the kitchen floor! Grrrrr.  Loaded Finns butt into SUV and drove over to Bob Ronkers Running Spot in Cincy to pick up race bags for April's 5K.  Got kids from school, and over  to Erin's ortho appt.  Home. I'm grabbing a nap, then dinner, then to Finn's puppy training class at 7.  Tonight is LOST, so that will take up the remainder.  I'm so tired.

February 1

Have a swim on the agenda today after work.  May do a quick workout afterwards....time.  Taking Conor to karate after swimming. 
On a different note, we have begun leaving Finn out of his kennel and in the kitchen now when we are not at  home.  On his first attempt a couple of days ago, he made 2 pees.  Yesterday, I suggested we remove his water bowl while we are gone and try again.  No pees. YEA!  Today, he will have a few more hours to be by himself....we will see.

Was able to get off work a few hours early, which got me on the road earlier...and more sunlight.
Magical Run. Never really got tired and no real overwhelming amounts of pain. All good stuff. Never slowed down. I'm digging whatever this is.

Getting off work at 1 today. Going home to run 19 in this wonderful 30 degree weather....at least the sun is out.  Geez!

Ditched P90X and replaced it with wine.  Playing WII with family...mostly watching Conor play Star Wars and Erin play Beatles Rock Band.  She's so cool!  Conor dances like the rest of the men in my family...JOE COCKER!

Spinning at work. I kinda taught a class. Started with Mark for 20 minutes, then Amy took over for the next 30. Good times!

Gonna do a spin after work today with a friend.  He's never "spun" before, so I'm gonna lead him through one.  Good for him....good for me.
I MUST get back on my bike soon for some longer "rides".  I've just been SPINNING now for several weeks, and I'm hoping this will translate into some kick ass strength on my bike, but I'm not getting any "distance" in during these sessions, and it's time to start putting the ENDURANCE back into the body.  This freaking cold weather is CRAP!  I know I'm ready for some big training now, because I'm looking forward to those crazy and painful group rides again!  I'll jump into the Saturday morning rides earlier this time around and hopefully that will help come race day....those guys are brutal.....and maybe one day I can be that way too!

Some Good News:  I was due to go to 3rd shift in early April (on 1st right now).  3rd shift is NOT a good shift to be on for IRONMAN training, and in fact, 2 years ago, I requested to do 2 rotations of 2nd shift in order to have a better training schedule.  Well, low and behold, I was OFFERED to go to 2nd shift in April, then do a second round after that, so that's 6 months of second shift!  It is the EXACT schedule I need to train again.  Hmmmmm...the IM gods are smiling down on me for some good reason...I shall take this as a good sign.
