Legs felt pretty good rough during and after this one, but I went home and slammed lots of drugs. All better.

Saw an old friend while on my run.  He was crossing the bridge from Ohio to KY and had a garbage bag.  I think he's kinda homeless.  Stopped and talked to him for a sec.  Sad.

HOLY COW that hurt! Lats are wasted...but I guess that's a good thing.
Any how....
500 warm up
1st 1000 was 17:36
2nd 1000 was 16:43
300 warm down...cause 200 more would have just been sad.
Weird part was, I felt pretty strong once I got into these. Not fast, but strong....at least stronger than usual and stronger than I thought.

Yowza.

So.......Bt......stupid FB continues to hurt you I fear.

So things are going well overall I suppose.

It's funny how I consider myself a triathlete, but I rarely do triathlons, and then, it's mainly Ironmans.  We used to do several short tri's every season, but now if we do 1 or 2 it's a stretch...but we are still somehow triathletes.

Main focus seems to be on Ultras lately, or some variation of the theme.  For example, my big races for next year are:

Boston Marathon, Carmel Marathon, Big Sur Marathon, Flying Pig Marathon:  4 marathons, 4 weeks.  I've done this in training before, but if I do this in a official capacity, I can become a Marathon Maniac, so there's another notch in the athletic belt.....

THEN, it's train for and run another....HARDER Ultra marathon...the Burning River 100

THEN, it's train for and finish a Double IM at the end of the year.

Ok...now that I've written it here, I feel better.  carry on.

May 13

Bike
  • 4h 00m
  • 60.00 miles
  • 15.00 Mi/hr

Did on old trainer next to Mary as she was on computrainer. We began watching MAD MEN together. Kinda fun and it made the time pass. It was raining outside, so this was what we did for her mothers day! My butt still isn't used to extended riding, but I'm getting there. Legs were feeling tired the last 45 minutes, but I made it to the end. Kinda bummed that my riding legs are gone as far as they are.

Run
  • 51m 39s
  • 6.00 miles

On tready right off bike for a nice Brick. My legs felt better on the run than on the last 40 minutes of the ride. Running does NOT give you riding legs, as I've proved so many times before.
