Trainer in the AM. Yeah, yeah with the weather I should be outside but I just got the thing and I wanted to try it out. Plus it gives me a chance to watch my Seinfeld DVDs. Yeah, yeah I should be doing spinervals or something.
Run
51m 27s
7.00 miles
07m 21s /Mi
Run with the Oak Park Runners Club. First 5 miles felt fine. The last two were a bit of a struggle. The leg now aches across most of the quad now. Trying to cancel my recovery runs and use the trainer now.
Don't know if I should see the Chiropractor or the message therapist.
Oh I may have made a mistake with the Pegasus. Nike has officially killed this shoe. They tried to fix their mistake and its just as bad. There is nothing on this shoe that remotely feels like the shoes prior to 2004. The only thing they kept was the name. The mouth is too wide. The ride is stiff and clunky and there are too many overlays. Plus what the heel happened to any of the padding aroung the heel and ankle to give it a snug feel. Its just plastic and fabric. Sheesh. I may have to bit the bullet and get me another pair of AdiStars before the end of December. Shame on Nike for killing this classic.
12 miler. IT still buggin. Taking tomorrow (today) off. I am going to see my chiropractor this week (he's a bit of a sport physiologist as well). Also plan on substituting my recovery runs with the trainer for some cross training/strength building this week.
