I want more!

Run with the OPRC. Felt great. Ran slower than I wanted to but I wanted to run with Marty a guy who pushed me into my first sub 7 10 milers last year. He's nursing a knee injury and yesterday was the first day he pushed it in a while. I owed it to him to do a little pacing. I know when he gets back to full he'll be pulling me on some nights.
Looking at it now why didn't I do another 50 to make it an even 1200. Oh well. Run tonight with Oak Park running club.
Core stability workout in circuit fashion. Followed up by some multiplanar hop to balance and some plyometric box (bench) jumps.

I really don't know my time today. Went out in recovery mode but finished around race pace. My right calf is sore after yesterdays race.
DVR'd biggest loser and am watching right now. I hate watching other people workout on TV (even racing like watching the Lifetime Fitness tri series or any of the IMs). It makes me jealous and and feeling lazy.
Can't think of anything else right now so I'll spare you the pain of my random thoughts. But I will give a big shout out to those baseball bengals! Tigers clinched at least a wildcard today with the series sweep of the Royals. Want the division title though. It would suck to lose it in the final week of the season.

Race day. Park Ridge Charity Classic. Good warm up. Easy mile with 10 parking lot strides. Game time weather - Overcast and 65 degrees with 91% humidty. Winds not a factor. Visibility 3 miles.
Park Ridge Classic is a great race for PRs and evidently everyone knows this. All the rabbits came out to play to get their end of the season Cara circuit points. Its an out and back course. Not at all scenic and the turnaround is literally a 180. I went out too fast and bonked at mile three but held it together the last 220 yards. My splits tell the tale 5:54, 6:14, 6:28 and :45. Still over the last year I have run three 5ks and my times have gone from 20:19, 19:50 to 19:22. My new goal is to hit in the 18s. I have two local 5ks to do it in the next month and a half.
Belated shout out to fellow team PPW - Hangloose. Happy freakin birthday!

Getting out late with all the traffic this morning this felt more like Fartleks than a real run.
The park across the way has two sets of concrete steps up a short hill. I rode one set up and down for 10 minutes of so. Combo two at a time to act like step up lunges and then taking every one as fast a I could as a suedo speed/power training session.
