Little schwimmy. Taking advantage of the outdoor pool while we can (plus it was on the schedule). Decent morning for it too. Left shoulder felt ok. The shoulder and my right wrist need a break. If I swim too much I get flare ups with the issues that I am having with both. Thinking about my swim this morning I'm really starting to hope that I get one more swim downtown in the open water. I love early Saturday morning on the lake front. Then warming up at the Starbucks before heading for home. Maybe I can convince Jen to do this one more time before we call an end to OWS season.
Oh and does anybody know anything about Winnipeg? I'm headed there next week and will have one morning where I have a chance to run.

Oh and becasue I forgot, I saw Amy at the race too. But I saw her on Saturday and she called me "Joe" ; ).

Bike was short. Not sure how much because my computer tends to short me a little in most cases. I was averaging over 21 but I don't think I was at 22. I went after this as best I could. Felt like a lot of head wind out there today. I was out of my saddle any time I slowed up hill. I didn't want any excuses. Everyone will agree the second loop was just way to overcrowded.
OK I wasn't going to say anything (and didn't after the race) but the BT is a bit of a confessional of sorts - I had to stop to defuel again (happened in my last race too). I tried to go in the water. I tried to go on the bike (even put on my extra water bottle in T1 so I could, um, clean off a bit). I watched my time and it cost me what 30-40 seconds. I stopped in the middle of mile 1 at the portajohn by the beach house. Even so here are my splits

4 - 7:31 (what happened here?)
5 - 7:01
6 - 7:01
There was a lot that was wrong with this swim. I'm ok with it but there is so much that I can and want to improve.

Pounded out BP's pre-race interval mash (now with retcin!) Again no HR.
Inverted brick.
Just want to put this out there...a big shout out to jschmitchicago for surprising me with an official, real deal, team Chipotle jersey (with built in sweat proof sleeve for my two way radio)
I am now sporting the argyle.
