Dont get to do many of these stamina rides.
Rode out of my driveway to helotes and back. I am really lucky to live out here where rides are so easy to get started. Nice morning. took in 400 cal and about 1 3/4 water bottles. didt need that much on a ride this short but the plan is to practice nutrition for the HIM on all rides.
Target was 80 to 85% of goal pace. Since goal pace is 20mph, I shot for 16 to 17. Really hilly course. Nice relaxed ride. Felt fine after yesterday's race which underscores my assesment that I didnt go hard enough yesterday.

Gaitor Bait sprint tri. First lake race. No way in hell the swim was measured right. B/C I have never swam 500M that fast even in a short pool.
Oh well. Really fun race. Didnt push the bike hard enough but worked the run pretty hard.

I am going to start logging here. I use Trimax for coaching and am working towards a first HIM in late october. General training will be as follows: 4 crossfit classes per week
2x swim, 2x bike, 2x run. We might add a 3rd swim. Swim is my weakest sport by far. The good news is that the impact on overall time from swim is slight...
Total hrs per week will be about 10. What I will lack in training time we will make up for in intensity. We do a lot of zone 4 and 5 work. Works well for me given the amount of hrs I am willing to commit.
